From a French Christmas market to your hands
Our family spent two years living in France for a work assignment. As we explored Europe, we discovered delicious chimney cakes in several locations — Czech Republic, Hungary, and even at the Christmas market in our own small French town.
One bite was all it took. Warm, crackling, golden dough cooked over a hot grill, dusted in cinnamon sugar. We couldn't believe something this good didn't exist back home in South Carolina.
So we decided to bring it back ourselves. We researched, we practiced, and eventually we did what any serious chimney cake family does — we traveled to Slovenia and got certified. Father and son. Diplomas in hand. Ready to bake.
